We are looking to expand our team with a Payroll Specialist. Located in West Chester this position will provide Payroll specialist support to our clients. This is a hybrid position – 3 days in office and 2 working remotely.
Job Responsibilities:
• Perform daily payroll operations including weekly payroll processing for multiple clients
• Calculate payroll shortages 3 times per week and manage pay card transactions
• Produce certified payroll reports and manage prevailing wage notices
• Process wage garnishments, child support orders and employment verifications
• Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed timely and accurately
• Provide excellent customer service to admins and employees in response to pay questions
• Process year end reporting and employee tax forms (W-2)
• Run weekly, monthly, and ad hoc payroll reporting
• Research and respond to state and local agency tax notices
• Ensure legal compliance with all Federal, State, and Local requirements
• Set up new tax jurisdictions as needed
• Assist with new client payroll implementation and training as needed
• Other administrative duties as needed based on business needs
Qualifications:
• 2 or 4 year degree and/or 3-5 years equivalent experience in payroll processing
• Preferred experience with ADP WFN, UKG (Ulti-Pro/Kronos), Paycor or similar
• Solid understanding of payroll tax with multiple tax jurisdictions
• Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
• Outstanding customer service in a high volume, fast paced environment
• Self-directed, needs minimum oversight
• Behaves in a consistently ethical manner
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written
• Strong attention to details and highly organized
• Desire and ability to work in a flexible environment
• Proficient in Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
