*This position is a hybrid role based in Mason, OH near Cincinnati. Must be able to commute or relocate to this location to be considered.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Reporting to the Senior Director, HR Operations and Employee Relations, The Senior Employee Relations Partner position will support employees and managers by providing consultation and coaching on employee relations matters that will contribute toward a strong company culture while ensuring proactive risk management and valuing employee satisfaction and objective outcomes.

 

The Senior ER Partner works directly with employees and managers, providing coaching and guidance on performance improvement and conflict management matters, investigations, and disciplinary processes in a neutral, consistent way that contributes toward driving the HR strategy. This position will work closely with the Human Resources Business Partners, other HR Centers of Excellence (COE), legal and compliance to ensure a fair and consistent employee experience.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

 

  • Consult with and provide guidance to employees and managers about workplace issues to effectively resolve issues that follow internal processes and are in alignment with AtriCure policies and values.
  • Provides counsel on workplace conflict matters to ensure prompt and effective resolution.
  • Plan and conduct investigations, in partnership with legal, gathering relevant information and including appropriate stakeholders to implement discipline and/or resolutions based on findings.
  • Track, analyze and report on employee relations data/metrics to establish and drive proactive strategies and action plans to improve organizational effectiveness and address key areas of opportunity.
  • Develop strong partnerships with HR COE’s, Legal, and Compliance to successfully identify solutions and make recommendations on employee relations matters.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service by ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries and requests from employees.
  • May participate in project work to support business or other Human Resources initiatives.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 7 years of Human Resources experience, or demonstrated combination of education, training and experience
  • Demonstrated capability in managing employee relations, as well as promoting and maintaining positive employee relations
  • Knowledge of employment laws and best practices
  • Knowledge of federal and state compliance requirements
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to travel two to three times per year

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

PHR or SHRM-CP certification
Experience working with HR-related systems
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to regularly walk, sit, stand, bend, push, pull as needed
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
