With 21 parks and nature preserves, our mission is to preserve and protect natural resources and to provide outdoor recreation and education to enhance the quality of life for present and future generations.

As Chief of Human Resources, you will provide leadership to three departments: Human Resources, Risk Management, and Volunteer Services. In this position, you will help build and enhance a diverse and inclusive workforce; you will evaluate and shape policy framework, salary, benefits, performance evaluations, recruiting and retention. Your work will be instrumental in accomplishing the community’s Comprehensive Master Plan Priorities.

Competitive candidates for the position will have an appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, Public Administration or related field and more than ten years’ experience which evidences a comprehensive knowledge of human resource management. You will also need to hold a PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
