In this role, you will be responsible for living by and evangelizing Grey’s values and vision. The Associate Director, Talent is a Business Partner to the Executive Leadership Team and makes a lasting impression with our candidates and staff by providing first class customer service. We are seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, thinks of challenges as puzzles to solve, and leads with an empathetic and inclusive approach. This role includes full cycle recruitment, employee support, and human resources administration. The Associate Director, Talent will oversee the Talent Specialist.

Responsibilities:

Direct talent programs that support the overall strategic vision of the company; proactively identify opportunities and solutions to solve talent issues and assist the larger global Talent Team to drive broader initiatives

Own and execute recruiting efforts across all levels, meeting the unique needs of each team; including Creative, UX/UI, Technology, Commerce, Strategy, Marketing Sciences, and Client Services.
Lead Inclusion & Diversity strategies to create processes, procedures, and environments of genuine belonging
Creatively manage local employee recognition and appreciation programs.
Lead annual review process by training employees in making the most of their review, guiding managers on meaningful feedback, and crafting development and succession plans.
Partner with the Executive Leadership Team on disciplinary actions and termination conversations, lead managers through employee relations issues and concerns, and facilitate the use of an outside executive coach when needed.
Onboard new employees by creating customized plans to provide unique and effective transition experiences, as well as conduct employee exit interviews; compile and analyze data to shape recommendations around programs to drive retention and engagement.
Lead in-house training and development sessions, as well as determine external training needs based on survey findings and trends.
Analyze and decipher surveys and other employee/candidate data to present findings, illustrate insights, and provide strategic recommendations.
Thoughtfully apply knowledge of HR law and compliance, maintaining close relationship with legal counsel to escalate matters as necessary, including visa and immigration processes.
Shape the culture of the agency by building meaningful relationships, connecting employees, creating tangible culture initiatives, and exemplifying our values: fair, honest, collaborative, brave.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in a Talent Development or Human Resources role
Knowledge of the full employee lifecycle and retention strategies
Experience with full cycle recruiting, especially in the creative fields
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and experience with Applicant Tracking Systems. Greenhouse experience is a plus
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Exceptional integrity, self-motivated demeanor, and proven track record thriving in fast-paced environments
Advertising Industry or adjacent experience in recruiting
A passion for creating diverse and inclusive environments and engaging cultures
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines with excellence in prioritizing urgent matters
High caliber to be organized and detail-oriented is a must
Ability to navigate an organization to find the right solution and know when to escalate issues for guidance
Ability to handle and resolve confidential and sensitive issues with empathy
Knowledge of HR law and compliance, SOX compliance, and current best practices
