Hi-Tek Manufacturing is a high precision machining company serving the Aircraft and Land-Based Gas Turbine industries. Hi-Tek, located in Mason, Ohio, has been in business since 1980. Hi-Tek specializes in machining Hot Gas Path Components for the leading manufacturers of Gas Turbines; primarily Blades, Vanes, Nozzles, and Heat Shields. The Human Resources Manager will work closely with all personnel to expand a workforce that has the knowledge, skills, and attitude needed to meet our customer’s expectations and grow the business. As the HR Manager you will maintain and enhance the human resources of a medium size manufacturing facility by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs and practices. This position has a strong working relationship with ownership and senior leadership.
Other responsibilities of the position include:
Plans and coordinates new employee onboarding to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
Responsible for the investigation and administration of worker compensation claims and unemployment claims, record keeping and documentation.
Interprets and applies company policies, benefits, practices, procedures, programs and applicable laws.
Maintains records concerning personnel, performance appraisals and wage progression.
Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices.
Serves as a liaison between management and employees by handling questions and assisting in the resolution of employee related issues.
Analyzes training needs for employee development, including safety programs.
Responsible for recruitment and in conjunction with plant supervisors, selection and retention of hourly employees.
Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are all in compliance.
Advises, coaches and counsels management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
Conducts employee exit interviews.
HRIS and payroll processing experience required. Paycor experience preferred, however not required.
Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
The ideal candidate will be a high-energy self-starter with the ability to work seamlessly with team members of all departments and levels. Other requirements of this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and 10 years’ related experience.
SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential preferred.
Highly competent in Microsoft Office suite and HRIS management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Recruiting/talent acquisition experience preferred.
Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
FAA facility, quarterly testing experience preferred.
Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with staff and external clients.
Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
