Job Purpose:
The Human Resources Assistant supports the day-to-day and strategic goals of the HR Department; administers HR transactional responsibilities; and provides administrative support to the HR Director and Department.

Job Duties:
Is responsible for initiating HR functions including recruiting, background checks, onboarding, performance review process, records management, employee relations, and firm events for employees.
Administers the firm’s HRIS (Paycor) to effectively execute HR functions, maintain employment data, generate reports, and compile and analyze data.
Coordinates new employee orientation programs.
Maintains and updates employee information across firm systems.
Acts as point of contact for employees who require HR assistance.
Maintains firm organization charts.
Prepares offer letters and termination letters.
Coordinates employee recognition and gift programs.
Provides general administrative support for department, including scheduling; correspondence; invoices; expense reports.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven experience as an HR Assistant or similar position.  Hands-on experience with HRIS (Paycor preferred).  Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).  Must have superior communication (verbal/written), organizational, and interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to manage multiple tasks, be detail oriented, and be responsive.  Must be able to keep confidences.  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
