Metro is seeking a Human Resources Relationship Manager to be responsible for performing HR related duties in all or some of the following functional areas:  performance management, employee relations, training, Americans with Disabilities, policy implementation and compliance.

Promotes and supports the consistent application of HR policies, legislation and best practices
employee relations investigations, reports factual findings and makes recommendations for remedial action
Coach and counsel department heads on employee issues
Coordinate and oversee the performance evaluation system and revise as necessary
Works with HR Leadership and management to identify top talent for the purposes of succession planning
Assist in the creation and facilitation of FMLA and leave administration training programs for delivery to Metro managers and employees
Oversee maintenance of policies/procedures, employee handbooks, and organizational charts
Conduct exit interviews with terminating employees for the purposes of identifying turnover trends
Remain current in the laws, principles and practices of human resources
Secure employee and applicant private and personal information in the strictest confidence, to include but not limited to HIPAA and identity
Provide a positive work environment that does not discriminate in hiring, promotion or employee/supervisor relations based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty or status as a covered veteran
Model, facilitate and encourage exemplary internal and external customer service, open communication, collaboration, participation and professional development among staff
Ability to work in compliance with Metro’s safety and security policies
Other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s Degree (four year college or university) required
Five to seven years related experience preferred
PHR/SPHR or CP/SCP from the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) or certification from a related professional association preferred
Communications – Excellent verbal, writing and non-verbal skills. Persuasive, consensus builder
Customer Focus – Excellent problem-solving skills and a desire to exceed customer expectations
Employee Development – Competent in assessing employee skills: coaches, delegates, and supports employee development. Provides constructive feedback

Knowledge of current employment laws
