strategic HR inc. has a non-profit client looking for an HR Manager to help in the process of building an HR Department. The Human Resources Manager will work closely with all personnel to expand a workforce that has the knowledge, skills, and attitude needed to meet our customer’s expectations and grow the business. As the HR Manager, you will maintain and enhance the human resources of a non-profit by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. This position has a strong working relationship with senior leadership.

Other responsibilities of the position include:

Development of the HR Department
Interprets and applies company policies, benefits, practices, procedures, programs, and applicable laws.
Maintains records concerning personnel, performance appraisals and wage progression.
Utilize technology such as posting sites for recruiting and the company HRIS system for company recordkeeping and employee management.
Experienced in establishing Benefit programs, managing benefits and annual open enrollment.
Understands, follows, and enforces all established policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
Serves as a liaison between management and employees by handling questions and assisting in the resolution of employee related issues.
Analyzes training needs for employee development, including safety programs.
Responsible for recruitment in conjunction with supervisors, the selection and retention of hourly employees.
Advises, coaches, and counsels management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
Conducts employee exit interviews.
HRIS and payroll processing experience required.
Provides leadership to others through examples and sharing of knowledge/skills.

The ideal candidate will be a high-energy self-starter with the ability to work seamlessly with team members of all departments and levels. Other requirements of this position include:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ related experience.
SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential preferred.
