Title: Employee Relations Specialist
Shift: Full-Time, Days
This position will be scheduled approximately 40 hours per week in our Employee Relations Department at The Christ Hospital located at 2139 Auburn Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45219.
Job Overview: The Employee Relations Specialist provides counsel to TCHHN leaders and staff to reach constructive outcomes to workplace issues related to performance, behavior and attendance. Using strong working knowledge of network policies / procedures and essential employment law, the Specialist will present options for leaders and staff to most fully realize network productivity and strong business results.
The Employee Relations Specialist may perform the following duties:
Facilitates effective investigations and necessary documentation for leaders to constructively improve performance and behavior of staff. Presents options to leaders and staff to effectively resolve workplace issues.
Researches and responds to employee relations questions pertaining to policy and process from managers and employees (employment/performance issues, disability management / leave of absence compliance, etc.)
Responsible for review of employment data for discussion with HR Business Partner (Workforce data dashboard, vol/invol turnover, intro appraisal completion rate, corrective actions, etc.). Assists with the dispute resolution process for Team Members.
Present policy training to leaders and Team Members
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
License & Certification: PHR preferred.
Experience: Two years of Human Resources experience required; preferably in employee relations.
Required Skills & Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate superior critical thinking, problem solving, organizational and communication / presentation skills required.
